X-Men Origins- Wolverine

Hugh Jackman stars in this action packed movie about the backround story of the X-men character Wolverine. I love the X-men movies but I had never read the comics or anything so I didn’t know the backround of any of the characters. I think it’s a great idea for these movies and this movie was great. I won’t give away too much, but it is such a great movie and Hugh Jackson IS Wolverine! The story was never boring and easy to follow.

I would highly recommend this movie if you like the X-men series, you won’t be disappointed! :) (PG-13 people!)

Project Runway 9/17

So I called it last week that it was going to be newspapers. I was suprisingly impressed by all of the designers except for the bottom two. I can’t believe the one who went home totally lied like that. And he was sitting there while everyone was working doing a crossword puzzle! It was just ridiculous! :p stupid. He so deserved to go home, and he did, yay! Anyways I do not think that girl should have won, because she too lied on the runway, did anyone catch that? She said that the first thing that popped into her head was the coat, but the first thing she actually was working on was a dress. AND the one judge had two critisms about her coat and none on the guys dress!!! He should have won! His dress flowed and looked just amazing! Ah, I loved it! As I said before I was surprised that everyone pulled it together because that was a hard challenge and it didnt look like it would all get done, but it did:)

Project Runway 9/10/09

For those of you who do not know Project Runway is a reality show where fashion designers compete against eachother to win the grand prize of however much muney to start their own line of clothes.
So I liked this weeks challenge…their Models were their clients…it was interesting. I think it was a little unfair though when the outfits were judged because it was to the models taste not fully the designers. However the designers should have made professional decisions to inprove the outfits. Im torn on how I feel really. What do you think? I was very happy with the winner though. I loved that outfit! Super cute!!!

All About Steve

So I just saw the movie All About Steve with Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper. It was so cute and hilarious! I thought it was going to be just like a romantic comedy but it was just funny and Sandra Bullock did a fantastic job playing the odd roll of Mary Horowitz. Mary is a very smart woman who has never really fit in with everyone else and everyone just wants her to be normal! So she tries her hardest to make this blind date into her boyfriend to appear normal…can she do it? Is that what she really wants?

I would highly recommend this movie! (PG-13 though…so please as I have said before please don’t take your four-year-olds!) This movie is funny and moving, with I think, a great message

500 Days of Summer

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel work together in this akward and funny and sad and maddening movie. 500 Days of Summer was just that. It was exciting and confusing and lovable and annoying and everything. Those actors are so good and it was one of those movies that you could relate to and the actors pulled you into the movie and made you laugh with them, and cry with them.

I don’t want to give to much of this movie away, but just know that this is not your typical romantic commedy and definatly not predictable. I would highly recommend this movie. (It is PG-13…come on parents dun take your four-year-olds please!)

Th1rteen R3asons Why

Wow. That is the only thing I can say after just minutes ago finishing the book Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher. It is about a teen girl who made a very big decision, to end her life for reasons no one quite knew, until now. Before she exited this world she recorded herself on cassette tapes and they are sent to the people she believes to be responsible for her desicion. This novel takes place when one of the people on this list gets the tapes and listens to all 13 reasons. How will this affect him? and the others on the tape? What kind of deep secrets and terrible things have been going on to poor Hannah that was bad enough to make that type of decision?

I would recommend this book! I thought it was a page turner and I could not put it down! I read it in a day, and its not a really short book or anything. (In my opinion this is an older teens book, 13 or 14 years old and older). This book makes you really think about the people you know and the people you talk about or to, or see in the halls, in class. It’s so crazy to think about. I hope you read this book, and take it seriously. It is an important message, waiting to get out.

Killer

Killer is the 6th book in the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard, but the story is still as exciting as ever!
The mystery continues as Hanna, Aria, Emily and Spencer are trying to figure out the mystery that that happened years ago to their friend Ali. Some questions are answered and more are introduced, because, yes thats right the mystery will continue because the evil..or possibly not, mysterious writer, “A” is not done toying…or helping? the girls. Are there secrets deep enough to put them in danger, and the information they find out is just about enough to kill them.

I would recommend this book to anyone who had read the first five and can stand another unsolved book.

I just occured to me that I have not blogged about any of the other books in this blog.
The first five books are: Pretty Little Liars, Flawless, Perfect, Unbelievable,& Wicked.
The background is that a little girl dissapeared in sixth grade leaving her friends Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna behind to wonder. Over the years the girls have grown apart and have all new lives, but the secrets from back then are far from gone. Somebody knows too much about these girls and that information could be dangerous.

I would recommend these books to mystery lovers (over the age of 13 please…there are some scandalous, things so any younger may not be a good idea)

Beach Blondes

I just finished this seven hundred something page book and it was pretty good. It is called Beach Blondes and it is by Katherine Applegate. It is about this girl named Summer that goes to Florida on her summer vacation with her aunt. What started as a carefree, fun summer took a turn to many new, not-always-easy, life experiences. She has guys issues and could she have really found her long lost brother? and what is w/ her cousin? her new friend has some relationship issues and Summer is having trouble keeping it all straight!

I would recommend this book to girl, older teens 13 or older maybe

The Hangover

Funny movie!!! It was hilarious and entertaining! I don’t know what else to really say about it but it was so funny! It is a movie about guys who go to vegas for a bachlor party and wind up losing their friend and they can’t remember anything that happened that night! They have to retrace their steps and find their friend b4 his wedding!

Highly recommend this movie! (it is “R” people! please don’t take your kids to the movie! It ruins the movie for others and makes it uncomfortable!)

Public Enemies

So really good movie! Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are like really good! I love Christian Bale and Batman but he is a really good Detective FBI something guy! This movie was never boring and kept me interested the whole time. The ending was kind of a lt down but its based opn a true story so what can you do? thats how it happened. Johnny Depp is a theif and Christian Bale is after him and they have been after him for ten years but he keeps escaping and getting out of jail. The whole time I was thinking “how does he do it?!”

I would recommend this to those old enough (it is a “R” rated movie folks, please don’t take your children!)
